Add a little sizzle to your Blues, and a little Blues to your BBQ! Carrollwood Blues & BBQ presented by the Carrollwood Village HOAs is back for another good ‘ol fashioned backyard barbecuing bluesy time!

THE BLUES
This year, we welcome CajMal and Mind Medicine for their debut performance at the Carrollwood Cultural Center. Rounding out the line-up is Center friend and audience favorite, George Pennington.

4 p.m. – CajMal
A casual discussion of R&B/soul music accompanied by two glasses of Malbec. That’s all it took to set this project into motion. CajMal is simple…velvety vocals and thought-provoking lyrics coupled with deep, melodic instrumentation.

5 p.m. – Mind Medicine
Mind Medicine, led by guitarist Mike Nivens, is a blend of new age jam music with undertones of classic funk, rock, and blues.

 6 p.m. – George Pennington & Friends
George Pennington is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, clinician, researcher, and educator known for his passionate performances and eclectic sense of humor. He has been featured on WMNF 88.5’s “Live Music Showcase”, ABC Channel 10’s “Studio 10 Live”, and “Morning Blend” programs. George’s debut EP, “Electric Boogaloo” debuted June 14th, 2019. This will be George’s first official release of original music under his name.
